Galway Arts Centre invites you to be transformed at the first ever Zombie Beauty Salon, open from 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday 31st October.
Fiona Hession and Claire Davis will be joined by Macnas makeup artist Michelle Ruane and artist Tara Gleeson to create zombie looks for adults and children. Prices range from €10 to €30.
Attending the Zombie Beauty Salon will ensure that your Halloween look is unique and of professional standard. Whether you want a gruesome special effect or want to Ireland’s most beautiful zombie, the GAC team will create the look for you.
Fiona Hession is an artist, educator and administrator. A sculpture graduate of GMIT, Fiona has exhibited nationally. Fiona longs for the day when Halloween costumes are accepted as everyday clothing. Claire Davis has recently relocated to Galway after time spent in London. Claire is a Fashion graduate of Limerick School of Art and Design. Claire grows her very own pumpkins just so she can carve them for Halloween. Recent GMIT graduate Tara Gleeson creates art with makeup and makeup from art, and sees no reason why just because you are a zombie you can’t also be beautiful. Michelle Ruane is Galway’s most exciting makeup artist, and is the head makeup artist for this year’s Macnas parade.
