Get ready to dance at the final Youth Lates of 2024! Join us at Nuns Island on December 13th for an electrifying night of music featuring four rising DJ stars and the renowned Lolz.
Lolz (Laura O’Connell), a lynchpin of the Irish electronic music scene, has been mentoring four talented young DJs: Amy Cox, Conor Laffey, Evie O’Connell, and Joseph Kanisz. Now’s your chance to witness their skills firsthand as they each take the stage for an unforgettable set.
But that’s not all! Lolz, known for her versatile sets that blend genres and ignite dancefloors, will close out the night with a performance that’s guaranteed to keep you moving.

Special Guest Performance: Lolz
Described as a lynchpin of Irish electronic music, Lolz (Laura O’Connell) is established as one of the scene’s most in-demand DJs. Not one to be pinned down to a specific style or sound, her versatile DJ sets have spanned nightclub dance floors, international radio stations and major outdoor events all over Ireland and abroad. A seasoned promoter and events curator, Lolz has showcased local, international, upcoming and established artists in her home city of Galway and beyond. Behind the scenes, Lolz builds communities, she is co-founder of GASH Collective, a platform that encourages women to create, share and collaborate together in the field of electronic music in Ireland, and Bounce Clubnight, an accessible club night for people of all abilities.

Youth Lates led by Galway City Council in partnership with Youth Work Ireland Galway, Galway City Comhairle na nÓg, Music Generation Galway City, and Galway Arts Centre | Nuns Island Theatre is a pilot project running from October to December 2024. This initiative offers young people a safe and engaging space to participate in Galway’s vibrant night-time economy.
