Galway City Council is excited to announce the continuation of Youth Lates in 2025! This pilot program, designed by young people for young people, is back with more opportunities to shape, enhance, and participate in Galway’s vibrant night-time scene. If you would like to perform at a YOUTH LATES event, please sign up – performance places are limited and offers are subject to availability.

Join us for a night of live music from some of Galway’s talented young songwriters, musicians, and bands at Youth Lates in Galway Arts Centre | Nuns Island Theatre! This is a great opportunity to connect with people your age and enjoy a night of live music. If you are aged between 16-19, don’t miss out on this epic gig!

What is Youth Lates?
Youth Lates is part of the Galway City Night-Time Economy Action Plan, offering exciting and inclusive events for young people. The initiative is in partnership with Galway City Creative Ireland Programme, Comhairle na nÓg Galway City, Youth Work Ireland Galway, Music Generation Galway City, and Galway Arts Centre | Nuns Island Theatre.

Youth Lates returns this February and runs once a month until April, with a special event at Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland’s National Day of Creativity for young people, in June. The program resumes in September and continues through to November.

Are you aged between 16– 19? Are you a songwriter, musician, aspiring DJ or in a band? Would you like the opportunity to perform in a safe youth-friendly space and meet other talented and like-minded young people? Sign up now!
Photographs and video documentation will be taken on the night. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform venue staff.
All events are strictly alcohol / drug free and strictly no smoking.
