Siobhan Owen
21 year old Australian singer/harpist Siobhan Owen was born in Wales with Welsh and Irish heritage. Receiving classical voice training from the age of 9, she recently received a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice). Siobhan excels in both classical and Celtic style singing, and is equally comfortable performing at classical recitals and at folk festivals. She has released four albums. The latest “Storybook Journey” having received awards in Australia and the UK.
Siobhan is a popular performer at concerts and festivals around Australia, and is steadily gaining recognition internationally. She made her US debut in 2013, headlining the Los Angeles St David;s Day Festival in Hollywood. Later that year, she was ‘discovered’ on youtube by French songwriter Alan Simon, who invited her to be the lead female voice (Yseult) in his new Celtic/Rock opera “Tristan & Yseult”. The show debuted in France in March 2014 and in Siberia in February 2015.
After a successful European tour in June/July, Siobhan is connecting with her Irish heritage by taking her “Celtic Roots” concerts on a short tour of Ireland. She will be performing a selection of traditional and contemporary Celtic, folk and classical-crossover songs, including songs from her award winning “Storybook Journey” album.
