Jojo Hynes has created an exhibition inspired by the stories of female water deities throughout the world. There is magic and mystery afloat from the surface of the river to the deep dark sea. Exploring the myth and mystery of these once revered goddesses who crashed in and fizzled out of our collective memory like water lapping the shore.
Become immersed in film, sound, painting and drawing in this exhibition. Displayed alongside the work of Jojo Hynes will be work by young artists who took part in virtual workshops facilitated by Jojo during Cruinniú na nÓg Galway earlier this year. The children invented their own new myths about their locality and from these have manifested artworks surrounding these stories.
