Grace, written by Jody O’Neill, tells the story of a girl who has a relationship with her father where no words are needed. In fact, Grace doesn’t use words to speak at all. When her father dies suddenly, Grace needs to find a new way to communicate. This exciting new production explores the universal themes of grief and communication as Grace and her father invite you into the multisensory landscape of Grace’s world.

Produced in association with Cork Opera House. Supported by Baboró and The Abbey Theatre. Funded by the Arts Council.

All performances are relaxed and contain creatively-embedded access including captions. See Dates & Times listing for Audio Described and Irish Sign Language (ISL) performances.

A ghost, a sparrow, a mother and a girl. Love doesn’t need words. You can just feel it.

Baboró International Arts Festival for Children is Ireland’s flagship arts festival dedicated to children and families. Baboró works year-round to bring meaningful arts experiences to children in the community and to support artists making work for young audiences.

Baboró’s annual international festival dedicated to children is the beating heart of what they do – it’s what they work towards all year. To complement the festival, they support and nurture artists and creatives in Ireland to make excellent and innovative work for young audiences. And they continue to reach out into the community in an effort to break down barriers to participation, so that everyone can feel that they belong at Baboró – that they are both seen and heard.
