Galway Arts Centre Presents – Edward Dillon Cocktail Championship 2014

Galway Arts Centre is pleased to announce its association with Edward Dillon, the distributor of premium spirits to the hospitality industry in the city.
Edward Dillon is sponsoring the inaugural cocktail championship. This event will bring the cocktail artists and Galway arts community together for a night of celebration at the Hotel Meyrick. On November 20th up to thirty of Galway’s most prestigious establishments will compete for the Grand Prize, including a trip to Barcelona and the Casa BACARDÍ visitor attraction in Sitges, the birthplace of the founder of the Bacardí company, Don Facundo Bacardí.
This grand evening will start with a cocktail and canapé reception at 7.30pm, followed by the competition, which will result in a shake off of the top contenders on stage. The audience will be invited to sample the cocktails and support their favourite mixologist. The evening will culminate with dancing to Galway’s latest sensation, the eight-piece brass combo Big Jelly.
The event will provide an opportunity to see the best of Galway’s cocktail makers, and enjoy a night out with your friends and colleagues in the run up to the holiday season enhanced by the atmosphere and style of the Hotel Meyrick.
All proceeds of the event will go to supporting the work of the Galway Arts Centre in the city. Tickets are €25, available from Galway Arts Centre, 47 Dominick Street or from www.galwayartscentre.ie. Discounts are available for groups of ten or more.
