FUTURE PROOF 24

Future Proof 24 is a dynamic celebration of the creative arts, showcasing the talents of young artists from across Galway. This vibrant event series aims to highlight the diverse artistic expressions of young writers, visual artists, theatre practitioners, and musicians while examining some of the unique challenges faced by young creatives in Galway City.

Future Proof 24 is an artist-led event series for emerging artists that offers opportunities to collaborate and creatively engage with the community through peer support.

Drawing from the themes explored in the ATU Annual Graduate Visual Art Exhibition “the tide rises, the tide falls” at GAC, artists talks and a series of hands-on workshops led by new graduates designed to inspire and educate young attendees will take place in our galleries at 47 Dominick Street, covering a range of topics from AI technology and animation to a fascinating exploration of our native bird species.

Future Proof 24 continues into the evening with a rehearsed music and theatre reading performed by the compelling HystERia Teatar entitled An Ode to Irish Youth: ‘Second Draft’ written by James Boylan and Hannah Cogan at Nuns Island Theatre ahead of a performance by writer, filmmaker and DJ Kate Butler.
