About Decadent
Since 2001, Galway Arts Centre and Decadent Theatre Company have partnered on numerous productions as part of Galway International Arts Festival. Decadent Theatre Company specialises in large-scale theatre tours, presenting Ireland’s modern dramatic voice to audiences across the country.
Since its establishment, Decadent has produced 24 National Tours. In 2014, the company was nominated for the Irish Times Theatre Awards Judges’ Special Award for their “enduring commitment to touring”.
Most recently: Eden (2013 and 2021), A Skull in Connemara (2013 and 2014), The Cavalcaders (2013), Defender of the Faith (2014), The Pillowman (2016 and 2017), Vernon God Little (2015), The Dead School (2016), Pumpgirl (2017 and 2019), The Weir (2016 and 2017), Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (2018), The Mai (2018), Port Authority (2018 and 2019), The Thing About December (2019), A Love Like That (2019), There Are Little Kingdoms (2021), Blackbird (2022) and From a Low and Quiet Sea (2022).
