Galway Arts Centre
Manages two buildings both located in the city centre:The Arts Centre at Number 47 Dominick Street is a 3,000 sq ft gallery,
showing national and internationl contemporary arts. The gallery is open from Monday – Saturday 10am - 5:30pm. Admission is free
and everyone is welcome. This building also hosts a wide range of activites
from classes in art, writing and photography to workshops in drama, music and
voice.
Nun's Island Theatre
Once an old Presbytarian Church has been transformed into a
modern 80-seater theatre. It is home to the Galway Youth
Theatre and many young professional theatre companies and practitioners in the
city. It also hosts concerts, seminars, films and symposia.
